About Log Cabin Republicans

We are loyal Republicans who believe in limited government, strong national defense, free markets, low taxes, personal responsibility and individual liberty. As such, we believe it is wholly consistent as the Party of Lincoln which formed in order to end slavery, and as Conservatives who believe in a limited government that expands freedom for it's citizens rather than takes it away, that the Republican Party be the champion for equal rights and protections for all.

Conversely, we believe in the true diversity of the LGBT community, and that includes diversity of thought and political perspectives. Log Cabin Republicans provides a home for those within the LGBT community who want to talk openly with others who share their values without fear of judgement or exclusion.

As LGBT Republicans and allies, LCR is able to build bridges to both Religious Conservatives as well as those in the LGBT community who are open to working together on the shared cause of equality and the comprehensive diversity of our community. Bottom line: We fight for full-LGBT equality within the Republican Party, and we fight for LGBT Republicans to be fully-welcome within the larger LGBT Community.
